Job summary

The University of Manchester is seeking a Bars Assistant to support the Bars Manager in overseeing licensed bars across halls of residence and related facilities. The role involves supervising staff to maintain professional standards for bar services for students, conferences and other events.

Job description

The University of Manchester Halls of Residence are home to over 7000 students during the academic. There is a small amount of vacation conferencing and a busy graduation period during the summer months. The bars team is predominantly made up of part-time student staff.

To assist and support the Bars Manager, in managing the licensed bars across the halls of residence and any further external facilities. Through motivational and supportive supervision of staff, ensure that the agreed professional standards are consistently met in relation to bar services for residential and non-residential students, conferences and other functions.
