Duties and Responsibilities

As Assistant Bars Manager, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the department, including:

• Rejuvenating the beverage experience.
• Assessing and reviewing beverage products and services regularly to remain relevant, innovative, and aligned with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices.
• Maintaining rigorous adherence to LQA standards through regular presence in the department.
• Providing an exceptional guest experience service.
• Carrying out service recovery or instructing hosts to do so in cases of guest complaints.
• Inspecting the department and guest orders regularly, ensuring maintenance and product improvements are actioned within the designated time frame.
• Leading a team of engaged and experienced hosts to uphold Six Senses' standards of service.
• Having full knowledge of menus, specials, and an excellent understanding of the wine list to recommend wines in the absence of a sommelier.
• Keeping abreast of industry trends and updating knowledge and skills to improve product and service offerings.

Qualifications

To succeed as Assistant Bars Manager, candidates should possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1-3 years' bartender experience in a full-service outlet or similar setting. A hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are preferred.
• Experience in cocktail-making, beverage service, garnishing, and extensive knowledge of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks.
• Familiarity with food and beverage terminology, operations, wine service, menu development, hygiene standards, and inventory control.
