Job summary

Hoar Cross Hall in Staffordshire is seeking an Assistant Bars Manager to support the day-to-day running of our bars and deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will lead by example, uphold high service standards, and assist with stock, training, and rostering.

The role requires supervisory hospitality experience, strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine, and excellent leadership and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

• Support the Bars Manager with the daily operation of our bars.
• Supervise and motivate the bar team to deliver outstanding service.
• Assist guests and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Help manage stock levels, place orders, and minimise wastage.
• Support staff training, coaching, and development.
• Assist with rostas and daily team organisation.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and licensing regulations.
• Carry out regular compliance and safety checks.

The Role

We're looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Bars Manager to support the day-to-day running of our bars and help deliver exceptional guest experiences

Working alongside the Bars Manager, you'll lead by example, inspire the team, maintain high service standards, and ensure smooth bar operations

Your responsibilities

• Supporting the Bars Manager with the daily operation of our bars

Personal Specification

Essentials

• Must have previous supervisory experience in a bar or hospitality environment
• Must have extensive knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and bar operations
• Must have excellent leadership and communication skills
• Must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Must have excellent organisational skills with great attention to detail

Desirable

• Have previous experience working in a high-volume venue
• Have food Safety qualification
• Have knowledge of health & safety legislation within food and beverage operations

Shift Pattern

• Full-time contract
• 5 out of 7 days a week / 40hrs per week
• Full flexibility is key as you will be expected to work as and when necessary to meet the needs of the team and the business such as working evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays
