Role: Assistant Bar Manager
The assistant bar manager is responsible for O2 Academy Birmingham’s multiple bars (three rooms), focusing on cellars, storerooms, stock control procedures, delivery procedures, and supporting our team to ensure high standards across live shows and events.

About you
- Experience in cellar management within hospitality or live events
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
- Proficiency in stock management
- Experience in delivery shifts
- Competency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of licensing laws
- Experience in bar supervision or management

What you’ll be doing
- Maintaining cleanliness and order in cellar and storeroom areas
- Overseeing cellar management during shifts and live events
- Managing stock movement and rotation
- Supervising incoming deliveries
- Stock management, ordering, and stocktakes
- Conducting weekly and monthly stock counts
- Cleaning lines and changing barrels
- Training staff on cellar equipment maintenance
- Producing maintenance schedules and reporting malfunctions
- Improving processes for cellar efficiency
- Supervising casual staff
- Duty management during live events
- Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Managing cash and bar maintenance
