Job summary

Foxhills Collection is seeking an Assistant Bar Manager in Ottershaw to lead bar service, mentor the team and deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will ensure precise cocktail preparation, strong wine knowledge, and proactive upselling while upholding safety and quality standards.

This role requires proven bar experience, a passion for mixology, and the ability to perform well under pressure in a premium hospitality environment. Weekend flexibility is expected as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a quality bar environment.
• Strong cocktail knowledge and genuine passion for mixology.
• Good working knowledge of wine, spirits and premium beverages.
• Able to work quickly and calmly under pressure.
• Commercially aware with a guest-first mindset.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Flexible approach to working patterns, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead bar operations during service with a visible floor presence and consistent service across shifts.
• Ensure cocktails and beverages are delivered accurately and to specification.
• Resolve guest issues promptly and professionally, escalating when required.
• Assist with training and coaching to ensure staff understand bar operations and offerings.
• Demonstrate strong cocktail and wine knowledge and advise guests on selections and pairings.
• Support menu development, seasonal features and premium upselling where appropriate.
• Maintain effective stock control procedures.
• Drive revenue through upselling while upholding service standards.
• Ensure health, safety, licensing and food hygiene standards are followed.
• Keep bar and cellar areas clean, safe and organized.
