Job description

An Assistant Bar Manager is required in Cumbria for this Luxury 4 Star Hotel which offers an award-winning fine dining restaurant and plush bar and lounge area.

Unfortunately, this role does not offer sponsorship, and we can only accept applications from candidates with the right to work in the UK.

They are currently looking for someone to help ensure the bar is running to the standard expected in this high-level establishment.

You must have held a similar role in a high-end environment including working with fresh cocktails, and applicants without this experience unfortunately can’t be considered.

Their restaurant serves up to 80 covers per service and the bar offers an extensive wine and spirits list alongside a cocktail menu brimming with bespoke and classic cocktails.

You will be required to help oversee the drinks service in the bar as well as in the restaurant, and also private dining and weddings and special events for which the hotel is very popular.

As Assistant Bar Manager you will:

• Assist the Bar Manager in managing the bar within this contemporary operation where you will be offering a first-class service
• Have previous experience in a similar role within a high-level establishment
• Be required to have a good knowledge of cocktails
• Look after customers and guests within the lounge bar when required
• Be organised, hardworking and have an excellent appearance with a strong focus on guest requirements
