ABOUT THE ROLE
We have a very exciting role available at The Fox at Oddington, for a AssistantBar Manager. The Assistant Bar Manager has strategic responsibility for the Bar operation including managing the bar team,drinks selection, stock control and GP. Delivering excellent customer service and experience to the guests.
SALARY: £33500 per annum plus tronc
HOURS: 48 hours per week including weekends
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure smooth and efficient running of all bar activities, maintaining high service standards and a welcoming environment for guests.
- Place accurate and timely orders with suppliers, monitor deliveries, and maintain positive relationships to ensure consistent stock availability.
- Monitor and manage bar stock levels, perform routine stock counts, and identify any discrepancies to reduce waste and control costs.
- Develop efficient weekly staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak hours while considering team availability and business needs.
- Deliver ongoing training to maintain high levels of product knowledge, service standards, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide daily leadership, offer guidance and support, and ensure all staff are working effectively and cohesively to deliver excellent customer service.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Strong cocktail knowledge and proven mixology experience, with the ability to create, train, and maintain a high-quality drinks offering.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff in a fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding of stock control, ordering processes, and inventory management to support efficient bar operations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with team members, suppliers, and customers.
- Ability to train, develop, and supervise bar staff while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance.
