Guest Satisfaction

• Encourage and develop a culture of providing personalized service to each guest
• Ensure all guests' needs are catered for, regardless of demographic, including specific services they may require

Responsibilities – Stock

• Use only hotel-approved suppliers for food and drink
• Ensure beer lines are cleaned regularly and safely, with proper records
• Record all wastage accurately in preparation for monthly stock take
• Assist with month-end stock take
• Use measures correctly as required by regulations

Responsibilities – Bar Service

• Provide a smooth, seamless, and appropriate guest experience in the bar
• Greet all guests warmly and friendly
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with regular guests
• Recommend and upsell wines and beverages
• Explain menu items, ingredients, and allergens as needed
• Continuously improve product knowledge and bar skills
• Verify age of customers by checking identification
• Balance cash and credit card transactions at the end of shifts
• Manage issues related to excessive drinking responsibly
• Keep the bar well-stocked with beverages and supplies
• Take and process beverage orders accurately using EPOS systems
• Serve drinks efficiently, including cocktails and beers
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar and work areas
• Plan and control bar operations
• Order liquors and supplies as needed
• Serve snacks or food items at the bar
• Act as an ambassador for the hotel, recommending other services
• Provide guests with hotel and local area information

General

• Follow hotel procedures for staff exiting the building
• Ensure staff do not enter unauthorized areas
• Report concerns promptly to the Hotel Manager
