The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Bar Manager to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional to take the next step in their career. As an Assistant Bar Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the bar, providing exceptional service, and supporting the Bar Manager in achieving business goals.

Role Responsibilities
  • Assist the Bar Manager in the daily management of the bar, including staff supervision, inventory management, and ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Lead shifts, ensuring that service runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Train, develop, and motivate the bar staff to deliver high standards of service and hospitality.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both guests and staff, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Monitor stock levels, manage orders, and control costs to maximise profitability.
  • Support the Bar Manager in driving sales, implementing promotions, and creating a positive experience for all guests.
  • Address customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture, ensuring high morale and teamwork.
The Person

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role within a bar, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of stock control, cash handling, and cost management.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and food safety standards.
  • A proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
