Job Title: Assistant AV Technician

RCS is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant AV Technician to join the AV Team at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Position Details:
  • Role: Assistant AV Technician
  • Department: AV
  • Type: Full time (35 hours per week), permanent
  • Salary: £24,530 per annum
About Us:

We are a small and busy department within an internationally recognized institution—the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, the only performing arts conservatoire in the UK offering training across all main performing arts disciplines.

Candidate Profile:

You are someone who enjoys engaging with a wide range of people and supporting the development ambitions of Scotland’s national conservatoire. You will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the AV Department, AV Store, and Instrument Store, ensuring the efficient preparation, delivery, and collection of audio-visual equipment and musical instruments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Possess excellent technical skills and familiarity with audio-visual equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication at all levels to work as part of a team and interact with staff and students
