We're looking for an Assistant Authorising Engineer to join our Engineering and Operational Safety team, playing a key role in ensuring the safe, compliant and effective operation of Cadent's critical gas network assets. Working closely with Authorising Engineers, operational teams and Local Delivery Partners (LDPs), you'll provide technical assurance, engineering oversight and specialist advice across a wide range of network activities. You'll review, inspect and authorise engineering work, support the delivery of Safe Control of Operations (SCO), and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards and engineering policies. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering professional looking to influence safety, improve operational performance and contribute to the continued reliability of one of the UK's most important infrastructure networks.

Degree-qualified engineer (or equivalent experience) with Engineering Chartership or the capability to operate at an equivalent professional level, supported by a valid UK driving licence.
Desirable experience within gas distribution/transmission, contractor or operational delivery environments, together with knowledge of engineering assurance frameworks and utility network operations.
