We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Audit Teamas an Assistant Auditor.

The role:

Working as part of the Audit team within Internal Audit and Corporate Fraud Services you will support with preparing and assisting with carrying out audits as required within the annual Audit Plan and also carry out administrative duties as and when required under the direction of senior Internal Audit Staff.

You will perform audit activities under supervision including:

  • Documenting processes and procedures

  • Identifying and defining non-compliance or other issues

  • Obtaining and analysing evidence

  • Contributing to meetings

  • Documenting and summarising testing results in working papers

  • Proposing actions and recommendations

As part of the role you will be develop and maintain relationships with the wider council, work to internal deadlines whilst promoting and upholding the organisational values.

What you will need:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be analytical with exceptional attention to detail. Strong IT skills are required as well as effective communication skills.

As this is an entry level role, keen commitment and desire to develop and commit to your own training and development is required.
