Responsibilities:

  • Plan audits in advance, ensuring key risks are addressed and objectives are met.
  • Lead audit assignments, ensuring adherence to client deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Involved with managing the workflow of the audit team.
  • Hold a significant portfolio of clients and provide regular contact with them to maintain a good client relationship.
  • Prepare complex consolidated financial statements and high-level accounting work.
  • Allocate responsibilities within the audit team during audit planning.
  • Ensure compliance with both internal and external audit requirements.
  • Manage work-in-progress (WIP), billing, and job efficiencies with a strong commercial mindset.
  • Attend audit planning and close-out meetings alongside the leadership team.
  • Conduct audits for commercial and not-for-profit clients, leading teams of up to five people.
  • Draft management letters to clients, recommending improvements to accounting systems and controls.

Requirements:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified with relevant audit experience in a practice environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to independent transport.
