Qualifications

  • ACCA/ACA qualified with a year of post-qualification experience.
  • Knowledge of IFRS/UKGAAP and statutory audits for complex clients.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in planning and allocate work to junior team members.
  • Train junior staff and ensure work aligns with the approved plan.
  • Efficiently handle client queries and provide sound business advice.

Skills

ACCA/ACA or equivalent qualification

Your new company

They offer an array of services, from audit and accountancy to tax and advisory. Joining the Audit team within the Business Services division, you'll have the chance to work with both privately owned and listed clients across a variety of sectors including natural resources, tech, and retail. Your new role

  1. Participate in pre-assignment discussions.
  2. Help complete the planning section.
  3. Understand assignment objectives and budget requirements.
  4. Allocate work to junior team members.
  5. Train and review the work of junior staff, providing feedback.
  6. Ensure work aligns with the approved plan and budget.
  7. Inform the manager of any strategic changes.
  8. Create and propose solutions to problems.
  9. Prepare a detailed assignment memorandum with an analytical review.
  10. Address manager and partner review points and follow up on queries.
  11. Efficiently handle client queries, often interacting with senior management.
  12. Offer sound business advice to clients.
  13. Provide a detailed analysis of time charged for billing and future planning.
  14. You may be required to travel to London to meet with their team approx. monthly.

What you'll need to succeed

  1. ACCA/ACA or equivalent qualification.
  2. Knowledge of IFRS/ UKGAAP.
  3. A year post qualification.
  4. Experience of coaching junior members of staff.
  5. Experience of performing statutory audits for complex clients, e.g. working on group audits.
  6. Experience of engaging with clients from the planning stage up to the point of audit completion.
  7. Preparation of cash flow statements and consolidated financial statements.
  8. Documentation and assessment of internal control procedures, including board report preparation.
