The Role:

As an Assistant Attendance Intervention Officer within our Inclusion Support Service, you’ll make a genuine difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people. You’ll help improve school attendance and engagement in education by supporting schools and families to overcome barriers to attendance and administering the Attendance Legal Process, contributing to better educational outcomes for children.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Administering the Attendance Legal Process on behalf of the Local Authority, including managing unpaid Penalty Notices for unauthorised holidays.
  • Tracking and reviewing of attendance.
  • Creating Attendance Contracts and supporting families subject to Parenting Orders and Education Supervision Orders.
  • Completing documentation for legal services.
