Job summary

Imperial College London's Department of Life Sciences is recruiting permanent Assistant and Associate Professors to establish research and teaching programs in Immunology, including cellular immunology, or Infection, Bacteriology, or Microbiology.

Applicants should hold a PhD or equivalent qualification, demonstrate a strong independent research record, and have experience in teaching, mentoring, grant applications, and leadership.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent qualification in a suitable discipline.
• Developing national or international reputation.
• Proven record of independent, high-quality research with publications.
• Experience training undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Experience preparing grant applications.
• Developing leadership and people-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop a broad research program in Immunology or Infection, Bacteriology, or Microbiology.
• Supervise, train, and mentor research staff and students.
• Manage research projects.
• Publish research in peer-reviewed journals.
• Attend and present research at national and international conferences.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Department.
