About the job
The Extra Help Unit (EHU) provides support to vulnerable domestic consumers and micro-businesses across Great Britain with energy complaints. As defined in the CEAR Act 2007, the EHU has statutory duties to handle cases where the consumer’s energy supply has been disconnected or is at risk of disconnection. The Unit also has statutory powers to support vulnerable consumers. A person may be deemed vulnerable due to personal circumstances, complexity, or urgency of their complaint. The EHU is a referral-only service with partners including Citizens Advice Consumer Service, Ofgem, and Ombudsman Services: Energy.
This is a part-time role covering Monday, Thursday & Friday, with regular office days to support our admin team at the CAS Glasgow office.
The administrative team within the EHU manages all incoming email and letter referrals from key partners, and is responsible for recording correspondence and case details.
As an Assistant Administrator, you will support various functions including arranging travel, restocking office supplies, being the first point of contact for building issues, welcoming visitors, and supporting meetings in Portland House.
This is a busy role suited for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and making a difference in people's lives.
