Assistant Acoustic Consultant / Surveyor

A well-established, multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy with offices across the UK is seeking an Assistant Acoustic Consultant / Surveyor to join its expanding acoustics team. Known for delivering innovative and expert environmental services, the company works on a wide variety of projects across the quarrying, industrial, solar, residential, and commercial sectors.

The role involves carrying out environmental noise surveys at sites across the UK, ensuring accurate data collection through proper equipment calibration and maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting fieldwork independently, managing equipment, and supporting the team with high-quality data collection. As an early addition to a growing team, the position also offers the opportunity to develop skills in acoustic data analysis and report writing, providing a strong foundation for long-term career growth.

Key qualifications and experience:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience conducting environmental noise surveys
  • Experience with acoustic instrumentation, including calibration and maintenance
  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in acoustics or a related field (desirable)
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site work
