Job summary

Sheridan Maine is recruiting for an Assistant Accounts Manager role in North London, offering exposure to a broad mix of accounting, taxation and client management. • Minimum 2 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and corporation tax.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory accounts for owner-managed businesses and SMEs.
• Prepare management accounts and compute corporation tax.
• Manage a varied client portfolio with high service standards.
• Act as client contact and provide practical accounting advice.
• Review work of junior colleagues and guide where needed.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure accurate, timely delivery.
• Support Managers and Partners with client assignments and technical matters.
• Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services.
