An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Accountants to join a dynamic finance team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional looking to contribute to financial reporting, compliance, and operational accounting functions.

About the company :

Our client is a leading professional services provider specialising in comprehensive property and serviced office solutions tailored to legal professionals.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Ensure compliance with all financial policies and regulations.
  • Support the preparation of annual accounts and budgets.
  • Generate regular financial reports to support business performance.
  • Conduct daily bank reconciliations and manage month-end accounting duties, including expenditure reviews, prepayments, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Process invoices and EFT payments as required.
  • Administer and manage the purchase order system, including user training and setup.
  • Assist in the management of the online banking platform, including administration, user maintenance, BPAY / EFT payments, and intercompany fund transfers.
  • Oversee the credit card program, including applications and expense postings.
  • Manage the Fixed Asset Register and associated policies.
  • Prepare BAS, PAYG, and annual FBT returns.
  • Handle client account queries and grievances via calls and emails.
  • Follow up on outstanding debts, arrange prepayments, and set up direct debits.
  • Collaborate with the broader finance team to support daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
  • Liaise with external auditors for annual audits and key internal stakeholders regarding departmental performance.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Tertiary qualification in Business or Accounting (Desirable)
  • Advanced / Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
