Job summary

Silcom Recruitment in Whiteley, Hampshire, is collaborating with an internationally established client to recruit an Assistant Accountant. You will join a small finance team, handling transactional and month-end tasks and reporting to the Finance Manager.

The role suits someone ready to step up or an experienced assistant accountant seeking a new challenge. Excel skills with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP are essential, with exposure to Sales/Purchase Ledger and Oracle.

Qualifications

• Prior transactional finance experience with some month end duties.
• Strong attention to detail and comfortable being hands on to support the team.
• Assist with Sales Ledger & Purchase Ledger Billing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reconciliations of large accounts.
• Complete the reconciliation of Sales Ledger invoice uploads into Oracle at month end.
• Potential responsibility for reconciliation of Balance sheet accounts.

The Role:

Silcom Recruitment isdelighted to be collaborating with our Whiteley, Hampshireclient who currently seek an Assistant Accountant to join their team.

Working for an internationally established business, whose history stretches back over thirty years, this is a superb opportunity for an individual to join a business who will offer progression, training, flexibility and a friendly working environment.

This role will sit within a small finance team and support with transactional and month end responsibilities, reporting into the company Finance Manager.

Our client would welcome an experienced Accounts Assistant eager to step up, or an experienced Assistant Accountant seeking a new challenge.

Suitable candidate:

The Assistant Accountant will have prior transactional finance experience as well as some month end duties.

Strong attention to detail and comfortable being hands on and supporting the team.

Assist with the Sales Ledger & Purchase Ledger Billing

Assist with the reconciliations of large accounts

Complete the reconciliation of Sales Ledger invoice uploads into Oracle at month end.

Potential responsibility for reconciliation of some of the Balance sheet accounts.

The Package:

£30,000 - £35,000 starting salary
