Job description

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to play a vital role in supporting finance tasks and ensuring the smooth running of daily accounting. This is a fast paced and challenging role that will get you involved in a caried and interesting workload. You should have experience in a similar role, preferably working within industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Overseeing routine transactional processes such as supplier and customer invoicing, cash handling, and credit monitoring.
  • Carrying out reconciliations between financial records and banking activity to support data accuracy.
  • Preparing monthly management reporting packs, including account reconciliations.
  • Assisting with the preparation and posting of journals, supporting regular accounting cycle close activities.
  • Helping with the completion and submission of tax-related documentation, including indirect tax returns.
  • Supporting the development of forecasts, budgets, and broader financial planning efforts.
  • Providing data-driven financial input to support pricing estimates, recovery rates, and operational metrics.
  • Contributing to audit processes by collating and sharing relevant financial records and supporting information.
  • Reviewing key financial indicators and assist in identifying improvements to internal processes.
  • Ensuring that financial practices are aligned with relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
