Description of the Job:

We are a London-based firm of accountants and tax advisors seeking a UK-experienced assistant accountant to work from home with a friendly, fast-growing team. We are a progressive accounting company that offers a variety of accounting and tax services, and we are seeking an individual who is prepared to begin a career in accounting and taxation. The role is for an assistant accountant who will assist the manager with all facets of accounting compliance while working in the accounts team. Along with study assistance to meet the requirements for the AAT or ACCA/ACA certifications, the position provides excellent opportunity to advance and improve soft skills and accounting knowledge.

Duties:

• Compute corporation tax and prepare the company’s statutory accounts.
• Complete all bookkeeping tasks.
• Submission of PAYE and VAT registration forms and company confirmation statements
• Businesses Housekeeping responsibilities for incorporating a firm and appointing new directors
• Creating separate tax returns for directors, landlords, and other high-net-worth persons
• Deliver the manager the quarterly VAT returns for final submission.

Requirements

• Four years of prior UK experience are required.
• You have to be open to learning
• A propensity for analytical abilities must be demonstrated.
• Have the ability to exercise initiative
• You have to be passionate about your work and the kind of service you offer.

Hours worked full-time: 40 each week
