Job Description

The Assistant Accountant will report to the Finance Business Partner and be responsible for:

  • Building relationships with business areas and service delivery leads.
  • Provision of financial information, including reports and financial statements.
  • Monitoring the quarterly forecast and identifying key risks and opportunities.
  • Assisting with the preparation of accurate financial information for budget holders.
  • Ensuring journals, receipts, and payments are made in line with accounting principles and processes.
  • Providing data for projects as required.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Assistant Accountant will be at the early stages of their studies (AAT or part-qualified CCAB) with a basic background in accountancy and understanding of fundamental accounting principles. Strong Excel skills and excellent communication (verbal and written) are essential. This role is ideal for someone interested in continuing their studies toward becoming a Qualified Accountant.
