Job summary

Pure Resourcing Solutions Limited in King’s Lynn is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support the Financial Controller with day-to-day transactional work and month-end close. The role will take ownership of core accounting processes and assist forecasting and management reporting.

Ideal candidates are part-qualified (AAT or studying ACCA/CIMA), proficient in Excel, and comfortable meeting deadlines. Sage 50 experience and strong communication are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified (AAT and/or studying towards ACCA/CIMA).
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience with Sage 50 is preferred.
• Attention to detail with ability to meet month-end deadlines.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sales ledger: raising and inputting sales invoices.
• Credit control: chasing outstanding debt to minimise aged receivables.
• Preparing and issuing monthly customer statements.
• Maintaining fixed asset schedules, additions, disposals, and depreciation.
• Preparing prepayments and accruals journals.
• Stock reconciliations and reporting.
• Preparing bank reconciliations.
• Assisting with Work in Progress tracking and reporting.
• Contributing to forecasting with data preparation and analysis.
• Assisting in preparing monthly management accounts.
• Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assisting with preparation and submission of VAT returns.
