Job summary

Kenton Black Limited in Central Lancashire is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join an expanding group in a newly established role. The hybrid position (one day in the office) leads day-to-day transactional activity for the German overseas entity, with reporting to the finance lead in Germany.

Based in Chorley, you will support the Financial Accountant and work with UK and German teams on invoicing, payments, month-end tasks, bank reconciliations, and intercompany processing.

Qualifications

• German language fluency and ability to use German professionally.
• Part qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE with transactional finance experience.
• Excellent communication skills and strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Raise customer invoices and process payments for the overseas entity.
• Manage day-to-day accounts payable/receivable and intercompany transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with month-end tasks.
• Handle travel and employee expenses processing.
• Support the Financial Accountant and liaise with UK and German teams.

Based in Central Lancashire, this highly acquisitional IT based organisation are seeking a talented Accounts Assistant to join an expanding group in a newly established role. A hybrid position, with one day in the office, the role will lead on day to day financial activity for their German overseas entity. To be considered you shall be an experienced Finance professional with the ability to communicate fluently both written and verbally in German. As well as the finance skills, you must also have experince using the German language in a professional capacity.

Your New Role As Accounts Assistant:

Reporting to the finance lead in Germany, this role sits within a small team and will support the Financial Accountant based in Chorley, leading on all day to day transactional activity for a business unit located in Germany.

Main role duties:

• Raising customer invoices and processing payments for the overseas entity


• Managing all day-to-day financial transactions across Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable


• Bank reconciliations


• Assisting with month-end tasks where possible


• Processing of intercompany transactions


• Processing of travel expenses


• Inputting of employee expenses

The group finance function is based in Chorley, this role will sit within the head office function meaning you will gain exposure to the UK team as well as those employed to manage finance for the business in Germany.

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

To be considered you shall be an experienced Finance professional with the ability to communicate fluently both written and verbally in German. With the skills and experince stated in the JD, you shall have excellent communication skills. Part qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE you shall have a strong skillset within transactional finance and have the ability to work autonomously with a focus on time management.
