About the role

We have a fixed term opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team based in our Bristol office. Directly reporting to the Finance Ops Manager, you will be primarily focused on the functional accounting of our UK and Middle East businesses and the relevant month end activity.

You will be joining us at an exciting time as we transition from our Legacy Finance system to our parent company ERP (TLX).


In this key and varied role, you can expect to:

  • Support tax and compliance reporting, including VAT returns.
  • Month end ledger close and control.
  • Assist with audits by preparing documentation and responding to queries.
  • Assist with queries with the international working group.
  • Help drive improvement in the financial control environment, identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Provide effective financial and accounting analysis.
  • Support statutory reporting processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Take ownership of the balance sheet for LLP, Middle East, and UK Ltd entities
  • Intercompany Payments & reconciliations
  • Payment run reviews for the firms Expenses
  • Play a key role in the implementation and transition to the new ERP system (TLX)
  • Ad-Hoc support as required.

About you

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

  • Strong experience in a Finance role.
  • Actively studying ACCA, ACA, or CIMA, or qualified by experience
  • Strong understanding of Accruals & Prepayments
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; particularly Excel.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be confident in communicating with stakeholders at all levels, influencing and providing clear advice to non-finance personnel.
  • Good understanding of UK VAT rules
  • Proactivity with strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Exposure to Management Accounts and month end processes.
