On behalf of our client, a leading manufacturing business supplying globally, McKinty Associates is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
2. Preparing and posting journals
3. Maintaining Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank, and General Ledger records
4. Maintaining Fixed Asset Register records
5. Conducting variance analysis against budgets
6. Preparation of weekly revenue reports
7. Assisting in the preparation and submission of VAT, Intrastat, Sales Tax, and Government returns
8. Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets
9. Updating forecasts and assisting with year-end accounts preparation
10. Performing ad hoc duties supporting the wider Finance team

Eligibility criteria:

1. Qualified Accounting Technician or studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
2. Recent experience in a fast-paced commercial accounting role
3. Experience in preparing management accounts and month-end processes
4. Ability to work effectively independently and in a team
5. Strong attention to detail
6. Excellent time management and organizational skills
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
