Assistant Accountant (Carrick, HYBRID)

VANRATH are delighted to be working exclusively with an innovative business, who are searching for an Assistant Accountant to join their finance function. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role involves ensuring financial accuracy and compliance, including preparing reports, managing accounts payable/receivable, processing invoices, and reconciling accounts.

What you'll do

• Manage accounts receivable, resolve queries, and ensure timely invoicing with the service department
• Oversee accounts payable, ensuring timely supplier payments and handling queries
• Set up new suppliers in the system
• Assist with financial closing, cash flow monitoring, and statutory reporting
• Maintain internal controls and assist with balance sheet reconciliations
• Provide ad-hoc reporting, manage petty cash, and handle general administration
• Adhere to safety policies and respond to additional duties as needed

About you

• Professional Financial Qualification, ACCA, CIMA, AAT qualified or part qualified.
• Have previous 2+ years' experience working in a Finance environment
• Detail-oriented and time-efficient
• Previous experience in cost accounting and working with inventory systems; IFS experience is advantageous.
