Senior Accounts Assistant/Assistant Accountant
Maternity Cover for a minimum of 15 months

SJC Partners are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Assistant to provide maternity cover with the potential opportunity to be made permanent. In this vital role, you ll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic finance team and contribute to the smooth financial running of a growing business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain precise and current financial records
  • Manage the month-end close process, including preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns for review
  • Submit CIS returns using Xero
  • Generate and process sales invoices and other financial documentation
  • Oversee credit control processes
  • Support the production of financial reports for shareholder meetings
  • Assist in the creation of budgets and financial planning
  • Perform general administrative and ad hoc accounting tasks as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
  • AAT qualified or equivalent experience in a similar accounting role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Previous experience using Xero accounting software is beneficial
