Are you detail-oriented, organised, and ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our supportive team. You would be mainly based at our Vertu Ford Stoke dealership but may be required to assist with one of our other sites.

This is a full-Time, permanent role where we are offering a basic salary up to £27,000 depending on experience plus an excellent range of company benefits.

About the Role:

You'll work closely with our Accountant to support the wider management team with vital information that helps drive smart business decisions. You'll also have the chance to get involved in a wide range of finance tasks, including:

  • Creating reports and spreadsheets
  • Assisting with management accounts
  • Managing payroll
  • Forecasting and estimates
  • Reconciling accounts (including balance sheets and manufacturer bonuses)
  • Managing cash flow
  • Handling accruals and prepayments
  • Supporting credit control processes
What We're Looking For:

We're looking for someone who:
  • Has previous experience in an accounting role
  • Enjoys working with data and numbers
  • Pays close attention to detail
  • Is confident using Excel and other Microsoft tools
  • Communicates clearly and works well with both finance and non-finance colleagues
Experience in the motor trade or with Kerridge systems is a bonus, but not essential. We value your skills, mindset, and willingness to learn above formal qualifications.
