Qualifications

  • Previous experience using Kerridge/ADP or similar systems is desirable.
  • Motor trade experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Daily bank reconciliations, including cash and bank postings.
  • Processing purchase ledger invoices and payments.
  • Managing daily banking activities.
  • Weekly review and analysis of vehicle and cash sale debts.
  • Assisting with month-end tasks with the Dealership Accountant.

Job description

Location: BMW Stoke

Contract Type: Permanent, FTC for 12 months

Salary: £28,000 to £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00 (37.5 hours per week)

Due to a secondment for 12 months, we are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant on a 12-month basis. You will use your knowledge and skills gained in an Accounts department to support the team and work alongside the Dealership Accountant to ensure accurate and timely financial results.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in our Dealership Accounting team, helping you develop your skills and establish a successful career in the automotive industry.

  • Daily bank reconciliations, including cash and bank postings during team absences
  • Processing purchase ledger invoices and payments
  • Managing daily banking activities
  • Weekly review and analysis of vehicle and cash sale debts
  • Assisting with month-end tasks with the Dealership Accountant

You should be a hardworking individual with previous experience using Kerridge/ADP or similar systems. Motor trade experience is advantageous but not essential. We welcome quick learners eager to start their accounting careers.

Excellent attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role.
