An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our team at Vertu SKODA Nottingham, a brand new dealership opening in November 2025. This is a fantastic chance to be part of a fresh and dynamic environment from the very beginning, contributing your expertise and enthusiasm to help shape the success of our newest location.

This is a full-time, permanent role offering a basic salary of up to £30,000, depending on experience, plus an excellent range of company benefits.

You will work alongside the accountant in producing spreadsheets and statistical data to support management and aid business decisions.

Alongside day-to-day accounts, your responsibilities will include:

1. Forecasts
2. Estimates
3. Assist with the production of Management Accounts
4. Payroll
5. Balance sheet reconciliations
6. Accruals and Prepayments
7. Cash Flow management
8. Reconciling Manufacturer Bonuses
9. Credit Control

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Assistant Accountant seeking the next step in their career. Knowledge of the Kerridge accounting system is desirable but not essential, as is previous Motor Trade experience. You should have the ability to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial colleagues, clients, and customers.
