Volkswagen Newcastle Upon Tyne

Salary: £28,000 to £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:30 (37.5 hours per week)

The Assistant Accountant is a vital part of the finance department. You will use your previous knowledge and skills in an Accounts department to support the team and work closely with the Dealership Accountant to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

This role offers the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and develop your skills for a successful career in the automotive industry.

• Perform daily bank reconciliations, including cash and bank postings
• Process purchase ledger invoices
• Handle payments and daily banking
• Review and analyze vehicle and cash sale debts weekly
• Assist with month-end tasks alongside the Dealership Accountant

Ideal candidates will have previous experience with Kerridge/ADP or similar systems. Motor trade experience is advantageous but not essential. We welcome quick learners eager to start their accounting career.

Strong attention to detail, a good work ethic, and a positive attitude are important for success in this role.
