Job description

Sheridan Maine are working with a dynamic global organisation based in West Berkshire on an exclusive basis to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their head office finance team.

This exciting opportunity would suit an individual who is looking to study AAT / CIMA / ACCA and has gained 1-2 years experience working within finance.

Key duties of the role will include:

  • Calculating sales & bonus commissions
  • Assisting with month end duties such as prepayments, accruals, journals, balance sheet
  • Producing financial reporting for the group
  • Updating and analysing data
  • Recommend improvements and develop existing reporting
  • Assist with the production of management accounts packs
  • Provide support with international audits
  • Support the business with the budgeting and forecasting process

To be considered for this role, the successful candidate will have the following skills & experience:

  • Strong excel skills ( look-ups, pivot tables, formulas)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good general finance knowledge
  • Minimum 1-2 years accounting experience
  • The ability to work well in a team
