Qualifications

Assistant Accountant

Manchester City Centre - Hybrid

Salary - Up to £28,000 DOE

Axon Moore are delighted to be working with a longstanding client based in Manchester City Centre to appoint an Assistant Accountant, which is a key role in their finance team. They are a multi-award-winning business who have grown rapidly so far and have recently received PE backing in order to grow significantly further.

Daily Duties:

  1. Responsible for the end-to-end purchase ledger process
  2. Processing of bi-weekly payment runs
  3. Investigating & posting bank transactions
  4. Conducting bank reconciliations
  5. Produce management information reporting, including manipulation of data in Excel
  6. Reconcile daily sales data against payments received and recording receipts
  7. Reconcile monthly supplier statements and chase invoices
  8. Making customer payments & keeping reconciliations to the accounting software
  9. Provide cover and support within the wider finance team
  10. Query resolution engaging with internal and external stakeholders
  11. Complete ad-hoc work as assigned

Personal Profile:

  1. Working towards or achieved AAT L3
  2. Experience in a similar finance assistant/accounts assistant position
  3. Ideally experienced in SAGE 50
  4. Possess strong analytical skills
  5. Motivated to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
  6. Excellent communication skills - able to communicate financial information in a way that non-financial people can understand it
