About the Role

Are you an aspiring accountant looking to grow your career? We're seeking a detail–oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to join the Finance team of a leading manufacturing business based in West London.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, Accounting & IT, this role offers an excellent opportunity for professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Processing: Record payments, receipts, and daily transactions in SAP ERP (FICO module).
• Ledger Maintenance: Keep bank ledgers up to date and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process AP invoices (purchases & OPEX) and manage cash collection activities.
• Master Data Management: Maintain accurate records for products, vendors, and customers.
• Month–End & Reporting: Assist with month–end, quarter–end, and year–end closings and prepare balance sheet & P&L variance analysis.
• Revenue & Intercompany Reconciliation: Ensure accurate revenue recognition and reconcile intercompany balances.
• Cash & Credit Management: Monitor weekly cash positions, prepare payment runs, and manage credit control & outstanding balances.

Additional Responsibilities

• Support projects led by the GL Accountant.
• Participate in finance team meetings and collaborate across departments.
• Provide prompt and professional responses to accounting queries.

What We're Looking For

• Part–qualified (ACCA / CIMA).
• 3–5 years of accounting & finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of SAP ERP (FICO module) and advanced Excel skills.
• Highly organised, detail–oriented, and proactive.
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills, thriving in a multicultural team.
• Adaptable with a problem–solving mindset and a willingness to take on diverse responsibilities.
