Qualifications

Job description

Are you an experienced Assistant Accountant looking to earn between £28,000-£35,000.00 per year, based in or near Knowsley?

Your Role

Assist with the co-ordination of internal and external audits. Helping to prepare and collate information to share with auditors. Assisting with the preparation of statutory financial statements and audits. Performing checks to ensure accuracy of tax calculations and compliance; performing reconciliations on tax control accounts. Obtaining relevant information required for tax computations. Assist with all taxes including VAT, Corporation tax, CIS. Balance Sheet Reconciliations – All Companies within the Group. Liaise with internal departments and external partners as needed. Provide general administration to the Finance Team.

What We Need From You

  • Good level of education
  • Minimum 2 years' experience of working within an accounting team
  • Experience with accounting software
  • Strong Excel skills including v-lookups and pivot tables, proficient in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office software in particular Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude toward a high-paced working environment
  • Part qualified and/or AAT/ATT qualified (desirable)
