A leading fintech company is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support various entities in driving month-end close activities. This newly created role involves monthly reconciliations, accounts payable management, and assisting with the setup of new entities and financial controls. Ideal candidates will have bookkeeping experience and will thrive in a hybrid working environment with 2-3 days in the office.

Job description

Reporting to the Financial Controller, as Assistant Accountant this is a newly created role due to growth working within this international fintech. Responsibilities will include;

• Supporting various entities within the group on driving their month end close in a timely manner
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and posting journals
• Daily multicurrency bank reconciliations
• Accounts payable including payments processing
• Reporting on commissions due
• Supporting the set up of new entities both UK and overseas including new bank accounts, setting up reporting and establishing financial controls and processes from a bookkeeping perspective
• To support on continued automation projects
• To support on inter-company accounting activities
• To support on year end accounting activities
  
  

You will be capable in driving a month end close and ideally have broad bookkeeping type experience across the ledgers and recs. Experience within a multicurrency environment beneficial. You may be a qualified by experience candidate or someone studying for accounting exams.

The client offers hybrid working, with 2-3 days in the office and 2-3 working from home.
