The role involves diverse financial responsibilities such as assisting with budget preparation, management accounts, and collaborating on forecasts. The position of Assistant Accountant provides an excellent all-around finance opportunity, with diverse responsibilities and significant exposure to the commercial aspects of finance.
Reporting Directly into the Finance Manager you will be responsible for:
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
Assist with the preparation of monthly Management Accounts and supporting schedules according to monthly close deadlines.
Develop and maintain financial models for Departmental P&Ls and Projects.
Prepare ad-hoc commercial analysis and reports as needed to support Operational business leaders in evaluating performance, recommending solutions and next steps.
Updating and maintaining the monthly forecast files and consolidation of Group forecasts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather timely inputs for budgets and rolling forecasts.
Assist with production of monthly Balance Sheet and Intercompany Reconciliations for group companies.
Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting.
Report on key financial information, including budgetary variances and other non-financial data and track.
Play a key role in delivering ongoing and future system and process improvement projects.
We would be keen to hear from candidates with the below experience:
ACCA/CIMA/AAT part qualified with previous strong experiences within the finance function.
Strong Excel skills
Ability to adapt and pick up projects on an ad hoc basis.
