Are you an ambitious finance professional with a passion for projects, data, and commercial insight? CMA Recruitment Group are working with a global leader in the marine industry to help them recruit an Assistant Accountant to their growing Finance team in Southampton, Hampshire.

This newly created role will play a key part in enhancing financial control and visibility across internal and external projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone part-qualified in CIMA or ACCA looking to broaden their commercial and analytical skills within a fast-paced and innovative environment.

What will the Assistant Accountant role involve?

• Supporting Project Managers in understanding the financial impact of project activities
• Assisting with monthly project valuations and intercompany project postings
• Managing project-related cash flows and reporting
• Preparing financial reports comparing revenue and costs to budgets and forecasts
• Assisting in annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Supporting month-end and year-end closings with financial documentation

Suitable Candidate for the Assistant Accountant vacancy:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting, financial analysis, or cost control
• Background in project accounting or project-driven environments is advantageous but not essential
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communicator, capable of working with international teams
