Company Overview
You will be joining a fast-growing start-up Media Agency as their AP & AR Specialist (Assistant Accountant) on a full-time, permanent basis. Part of a close-knit and collaborative team of 5, you will report into the Director of Finance, who will be there to support you from day one. This role will be based on-site in their incredibly modern and very luxurious City of London office 5 days a week.
Role Responsibilities
In your new role, you will be responsible for the preparation of weekly AP and AR reports, managing the AP approvals process, handling payment processing (including credit card transactions, direct debits and vendor communications), overseeing the collection of cash from customers, developing and managing AP/AR policies, liaising with the internal commercial teams and raising all required sales invoices. You will support the Finance Business Partner with deferred revenue recognition and regularly liaise with the business' third party accounting firm.
Role Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have at least 2 years of experience in AP and AR, and be confident with the use of an Accounting software such as Xero or Sage. You will possess outstanding communication skills, a demonstrable willingness to learn and a proactive attitude. Candidates will ideally already be studying towards a further Accountancy qualification such as AAT/ACCA/CIMA. To be successful in this position, you must have strong attention to detail and excellent accuracy. You will be able to work well independently and as part of a high-performing and close-knit team. You will ideally have experience in implementing AP/AR automation processes and be quick to pick up new systems and processes.
In Return
You will receive an annual salary of up to £35,000 + Bonus (typically 10%) + Study Support + Benefits and this package will be regularly reviewed to remain in line with market rate.
