Assistant Accountant

About the Company - Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing, Ellesmere Port based, specialist services organisation as they look to recruit an Assistant Accountant into the growing finance team.

Based in their offices in Ellesmere Port, this role will follow a hybrid working model with the option to work 2 days per week from home. This opportunity is ideal for an AAT/ACCA/CIMA studier looking for a positive business culture where they will be given opportunities for professional development and progression.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with monthly Management Accounts Preparation
• Providing analysis on revenue and costs and providing input into commercial decisions
• Assist with the production of annual budgets and forecasts
• Working with key stakeholders in reviewing financial performance and providing reporting
• Supporting budget holders in tracking costs and revenue through maintenance and improvement of financial reporting
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Providing timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations
• Providing further support to the finance team and the wider business in continuous process improvements

Qualifications - AAT / ACCA / CIMA studier

• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent Excel skills
• Excellent time management and ability to work to deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills and able to work with stakeholders across all levels of the business

Pay range and compensation package - Salary/benefits: £30,000 - £35,000pa, Hybrid Working, Extensive company benefits, Modern offices, Flexible working hours, Enhanced pension scheme, Study support
