Job Description

Your responsibilities day to day will be…

  • Preparation of detailed overhead performance analysis for the group’s central functions with supporting commentary
  • Balance Sheet accounting, including producing comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ownership of the UK Velos process & PAYE Settlement Agreement submission; including correct P&L allocation; utilisation of Klippa to audit expenses and full creditors reconciliation
  • Continuous improvement of systems and processes to ensure strong controls and efficiencies
  • Introduction to business partnering with non-finance colleagues to gain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of cost drivers within your remit
  • Assist the Head of Finance with the group overheads 5-year strategic plan
  • Assist with audits, corporate tax returns and statutory account queries
  • Proactively engage with projects as and when required, providing a strong base for the continued rapid growth of the business
Qualifications

Experience / qualifications required:

  • Excel skills – including experience of creating and using Pivot Tables and V-Look Up
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of fostering strong working relationships within the finance team and across the organisation.
  • Strong academic background particularly mathematics
  • Ability to achieve deadlines
  • Desire to learn and progress in a Finance career
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-growing business environment
Desirable Experience
  • Experience of Sage or similar accounting system
  • Experience of management accounting, P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Strong technical accounting skills
