Your new company
Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting on behalf of their established client based just outside Coupar Angus for an Assistant Accountant to join their growing team on an exclusive basis. Salary is 25,000 - 30,000 depending on experience + hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 days from home) once training has been completed & 30 days annual leave alongside other excellent benefits.
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller and working as part of a team, you will contribute to the smooth running of the finance office by performing daily accounting tasks. You will assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts alongside monthly and quarterly reporting for review. You will assist with intercompany reconciliations, supplier statement reconciliations and bank reconciliations. You will complete purchase ledger invoice processing, liaising with suppliers and dealing with queries. You will post daily bank payments and assist with any other financial responsibilities required. You will regularly liaise with various internal & external stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced accounts professional who is looking to develop your finance skills. You will have strong communication skills and be able to work accurately to strict deadlines. You will have good IT skills and be comfortable using Excel. You will be a proactive individual who can work well as part of a team but also on your own.
