Assistant Accountant job in Colchester

Hays is recruiting an Assistant Accountant for an established and highly respected Accountancy firm in Colchester
As part of a happy and stable team, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries, ensuring their financial records are accurate and up to date.
Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping

Maintain precise financial records and handle reconciliations

Process transactions and prepare VAT returns

Liaise with clients to offer support and resolve queries

Assist with management accounts as needed

Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines effectively

What They're Looking For:

Ideally AAT qualified or part-qualified
