A leading social enterprise in London is seeking a proactive Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This role involves managing daily banking processes, reconciling company credit cards, and supporting financial controls. The ideal candidate will have AAT Level 4 or equivalent, experience in bank transaction processing, and strong Excel skills. This position offers a 6-month fixed term and hybrid working arrangements.

Assistant Accountant
Location: London SE1 (hybrid working)
Contract: 6-month fixed term | Full-time (35 hours per week)
Salary: £33,228

We're looking for a proactive Assistant Accountant to join a friendly finance team at a leading social enterprise and community organisation based on London's South Bank. You'll help keep the financial systems accurate and up to date across multiple entities, playing a key role in maintaining daily banking processes and supporting financial control.

What you'll do:

  • Upload daily banking transactions and process payments.

  • Manage and reconcile company credit cards.

  • Review VAT codes, accruals, and prepayments.

  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Support improvements to financial systems and processes.

What you'll bring:
