PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: up to £33,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
This role supports the financial operations of the Studios Production Group, contributing to accurate reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. You'll assist with reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis, while also helping to improve processes and support compliance initiatives. It's a great opportunity for someone working towards an accounting qualification or with relevant experience, looking to grow their skills in a collaborative and fast-paced finance team.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
- Accounting & Reporting:
Supporting the accounting for Actuals, Budgeting and Forecasting.
Assisting with the completion of reconciliations and the investigation of discrepancies.
Performing standard and non-standard journal entries. - Continuous Improvement:
Attending team meetings and gaining an understanding of how the SP Central Finance Team operates.
Suggesting and implementing ways to make processes more efficient. - Controls and Compliance:
Support with the roll out of new processes for ICFR.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL CRITERIA:- Professional accounting qualification: Currently working towards an accounting qualification or significant experience of doing an Assistant Accountant role.
- Communication Skills: Ability to liaise effectively with the Embedded Finance Team and wider Stakeholders.
- Software Proficiency: Some experience in financial software such as SAP and AFO.
- Microsoft Excel - Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel with the ability to efficiently manage data, perform advanced functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas), and support financial analysis and reporting tasks.
- Accounting and Reporting: Some experience of delivering a high-quality accounting and reporting service.
Time Management: Ability meet deadlines and support the team during busy periods.
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:- Can demonstrate experience of reporting of Actuals (including variance analysis).
- Can demonstrate experience in the completion of Forecasting and Budgeting.
- Willingness to grow and develop skills, both independently and as part of a team.
