Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Location: Bristol

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + 5% Bonus

Hours: Full-time, Permanent - hybrid working available (2 days working from home)

About The Role

Robert Half are currently partnering with an rapidly growing business who are now looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant.

This is an exciting opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to develop their career in a dynamic business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Management Accountant with the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and supporting schedules in accordance with current accounting and tax legislation
  • Preparation of supporting information for the annual audit
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Analysis and review of staff expense claims to ensure claims are within the company staff expenses policy
  • Ensure payments are raised in accordance with agreed payment terms with suppliers
  • Assist with day-to-day cash management, forecasting and treasury
  • Processing / checking supplier payment runs
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Fixed asset maintenance

Key Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA part qualified with degree in relevant discipline desirable. AAT qualified considered for exceptional candidate.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated individual with strong customer focus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills being able to communicate at all levels of the business
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
