This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper to contribute to the Accounting & Finance department of on of our clients. The role is based in Basingstoke and offers a temporary position with competitive hourly pay.

Description
- Strong bookkeeping skills
- Daily bank matching and bank reconciliations for all group entities
- Inter company recharge invoicing and reconciliations
- Posting credit card receipts
- Dealing with parent billing queries
- Soft credit control ie sending statements and chasing slow payers. Identify any that FD needs to be aware of and pass on to recover
- Support with month end process and close
- Support with year end audit
- Experience working in a small finance team and helping out where needed
Profile
A Successful Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper Should Have
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- A strong understanding of financial processes and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- A relevant qualification in accounting or finance (desirable but not essential).
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
